About the class
Spend a day immersed in watercolour with this relaxed creative retreat, designed for beginners and anyone looking to build confidence in a welcoming, small-group setting.
The day begins with a series of guided exercises, introducing the key techniques of watercolour, or helping you loosen up and refresh your skills if you've painted before. From there, you'll progress to longer painting studies, with demonstrations, individual tuition and plenty of time to experiment, observe and enjoy the process at your own pace.
More than just a workshop, this is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life and spend a day focused entirely on creativity. Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or returning to watercolour after a break, you'll be supported throughout, leaving with new skills, finished paintings and fresh inspiration to continue painting long after the day has ended.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the day, with a one-hour lunch break (lunch not provided). Bring a packed lunch or pop out to a nearby café before returning for a relaxed afternoon of painting. If you'd like, you can also bring a bottle of wine or another favourite drink to enjoy while you paint.
Everything is provided, from materials to tuition, allowing you to enjoy an unhurried day of painting in a beautiful setting. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you'll leave with finished artwork, new techniques to build on and, hopefully, a renewed enthusiasm for making time to create.
